Your Journal is important. The information and data recorded is part of your work term evaluation worth 20%. It helps you track and outline weekly activities, duties and priorities. You may have to keep a daily log for your employer. The Journalmakes you aware of the need to effectively manage time and to set priorities to complete tasks and projects. Its major focus is the skills, knowledge and achievements gained and/or reinforced.
The Journal should become the foundation for your Building Evaluation Report orBuilding System Evaluation Report or Construction Process Analysis Report.
Instructions:
Complete it thoroughly, preferably at the end of each week. You may write in the narrative or in point form and should make entries as detailed as possible. Record details such as equipment, programs or techniques used personal contacts developed.
Complete one page per week for minimum of 10 weeks if working 40 or more hours weekly. Complete for 10 to 16 weeks if working 30 to 40 hours weekly. Minimum 400 hours are required for co-op course.
Your Co-op Work Term final grade is based on completion of a Work Term Technical Report (50% of final grade), Employer’s Evaluation (30%) of job performance, and Journal (20%).
