Item # / Date Received / Date Answered / Vendor’s Question / City’s Answer / RFP Revisions
1 / 11/17/2016 / 11/21/2016 / What do I need to do to get access to the locations for this job? / The site is just outside the Tolt watershed, within a gated, SPU-employee access-only area. No site visit is anticipated. The locations are neither marked nor cleared at this time. We expect vendors to have the expertise to utilize the map we have provided (showing elevation contours, horizontal distances, topographical features) and the assurance vendor specifications will be met by the City (pad clearing and rough leveling for drilling equipment, minimum diameter of chimney to drop equipment, water supply for drilling, etc.).
The 2 locations nearest the road are roughly 250 feet downslope; The location nearest the river is approximately 500 feet downslope. Distances are horizontal. Due to the steepness of the terrain, and the density/growth of the forest, vendors should anticipate traversing downslope to the locations only with small tools/lightweight gear, with all major parts of drilling equipment delivered via helicopter.
