MEETING MINUTES
November 6, 2017
This meeting was called to order by Mayor Allan Lowe at 6:15 p.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Allan Lowe, Mayor Pro Tem Andy O’Riley Council Members: Melissa Klos,
Michael Sutton, Mirelda Sanchez Tokarczyk, Amber Weerstra, and Kevin Wisniewski
ABSENT: None
STAFF: City Manager Jared Olson, City Attorney John Schrier, Police Chief David Boone,
City Treasurer Kate Cunningham and City Clerk Amy VanderLeest
WORK SESSION
Mayor Lowe, along with Council, presented Council Member Amber Weerstra with a resolution recognizing her years of service for the City of Roosevelt Park.
City Council discussed the Emergency Response Team (ERT) procedure to respond when called, training and fees associated with being on the emergency response team.
Council discussed a community dumpster day which will be reviewed in the spring when the City receives the information letter from Muskegon County Solid Waste.
City Manager Jared Olson mentioned the upcoming City Hall office holiday closings.
City Hall offices will be closed:
Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th for Thanksgiving
Friday, December 22nd and Monday, December 25th for Christmas
Friday, December 29th and Monday, January 1st, 2018 for New Years

Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley moved to approve the Consent Agenda. This motion was supported by Council Member Wisniewski and carried.

2017-183 NEW BUSINESS
7A. Old Newsies Solicitation Request – Goodfellows Edition
Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley moved to approve the Old Newsies solicitation request to sell the annual Goodfellows Edition of the Muskegon Chronicle on Saturday, December 2, 2017 under PA112. This motion was supported by Council Member Weerstra and carried.

7B. Lambert Street Reconstruction Engineering Proposal
Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley moved to authorize the service agreement with Prein & Newhof for both design and construction engineering services for the Lambert Street reconstruction project. This motion was supported by Council Member Klos and carried.
