Project 1 (see Work Plan,) submitted under the water savings aspect of the 2014 Water-Energy Grant Program, includes replacement of water lines and appurtenances at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
Project 2 (see Work Plan,) submitted under the energy savings portion of the Program, proposes to reduce high electrical energy costs by providing an alternative renewable energy source at the WWTP.
Each project reduces waste of vital resources by lowering/offsetting energy costs, reducing GHGs (Project 2), creating public awareness of renewable energy, and reducing water waste throughout the treatment plant.
