5. Public to consider vacating and selling old county road ROWs to Scott L. Temple Property Management Trust U/A 11/8/2001, Scott Temple Trustee
Mayor Conkling explained this is a public hearing to vacate two old county road right-of-ways that are on the east and west sides of 1st Avenue South, on the south side of 36th Street SE/SW. The area was annexed into Altoona in 2006 and the surrounding property is owned by Our Own Land. The City does not have a need or use for the ROW as they are 100 feet wide and consist of a combined 5.1 acres. The recipient will be paying for the City’s legal costs to prepare the Quit Claim Deeds.

10. Resolution 12-21-2015 #02 TO CONSIDER A SITE PLAN FOR PRAIRIE MEADOWS SELF-STORAGE
Erik Nikkel of Snyder and Associates, 2727 SW Snyder Blvd., Ankeny, explained Prairie Meadows Self Storage is seeking site plan approval to construct a self-storage complex. The property is located at 435 Adventureland Drive NE, in the NE Industrial Park. The buildings will total 53,945 square feet and sit on 3.39 acres. The existing lot is 6.66 acres. The applicant has an option on the remaining 3.27 acres and will need a plat of survey to split the lot. Council Member Dean O’Connor motioned approval subject to deficiencies being met.

11. Resolution 12-21-2015 #03 TO CONSIDER A PLAT OF SURVEY FOR PARCEL A OF LOT 6, FRANZEN PLAT 1
Mayor Conkling explained this is the plat of survey to split the above referenced property. It splits the lot basically in half to utilize the western portion of the lot. They have an option on the eastern half for possible future expansion.

**Mayor Conkling presented Council Member Mike Harmeyer a plaque thanking him for his service over the last 4 years serving on council. Council members and staffed shared their appreciation with Council Member Harmeyer.
