Anne Jones, 805 Clay Street, complained about the kids riding their bicycles on the wrong side of the road.

Commissioner Jim Barnes moved to approve the August 8, 2017 minutes, Seconded by Commissioner Thomas E. Izer.

Chapter four of the Muni Code update was handed out. Will go over at the next meeting.

Commissioner Terry Schuster moved to approve the Policy for Retiree Continuation for health care insurance, Seconded by Commissioner Thomas E. Izer.

Discussion: This is the language taken from the Police Contract, so this will be for all city employees now.

Roll Call: Barnes, Izer, Schuster, Wilson, Williams. No Nays.

Commissioner Terry Schuster moved to approve financing the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Charger with Stillman Bank at the rate of 2.39% for forty-eight months not to exceed $35,000.00 dollars, Seconded by Commissioner Jim Barnes.

Discussion: We received three bids, the other two from Harvard State Bank and Central Bank of Illinois.

Roll Call: Barnes, Izer Schuster Wilson, Williams. No Nays.

Mayor Ken Williams read a proclamation proclaiming, “Tootsie Roll Days” September 8th and 9th.

Commissioner Kurt Wilson will have the Moring Disposal Contract for residential garbage pickup at the next meeting.

Mayor Ken Williams announced that copies of the report done by the US Army Corps of Engineers for Gale Creek and Lake Mistake Drain that were done in January 1990 will be available at City Hall.

Commissioner Jim Barnes moved to adjourn the meeting, Seconded by Commissioner Thomas E. Izer.
