New information and advice service for

Haringey people

Citizens Advice Haringey launches new services to provide local people with essential ‘self-help’ tools and digital access.

Citizens Advice Haringey is thrilled to announce the launch today of the new ‘Information, Advice and Guidance’ servicefunded by Haringey Council. The service aims to increase access to information, advice and guidance to local people by delivering services within a range of community based ‘hubs’ across Haringey and will be known as Haringey Advice Partnership.

Key elements of the new service model include working in partnership with HAIL to deliver wider outreach services to local communities through increased drop in services, telephone, email and webchat contact, preparing people with self-help tools and digital access in order to help themselves. Citizens Advice Haringey aims to ensure residents are able to access the right information, how and when they need it, to help them in their everyday lives.

Lynn Hannah, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Haringey, said:“I am very excited about our new service and our continued focus on supporting the community. We will ensure local people are able to easily access the information they need, in a way they suits them, to help them in their everyday lives. We have a strong, dedicated team of staff and volunteers who will ensure that our communities are supported with up to date information and advicewhen they most need it. It is now more important than ever that everyone can easily accessfree and impartial advice, and that is what our new Information, Advice and Guidance service will deliver.”

Kevin O’Dowd, Chief Executive of HAIL, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Citizens Advice Haringey to deliver the new services in Haringey. This will enhance benefits to our customers and will build further on our work within the community.”
