Citibank: First Winner to Fly to New York City
It certainly must have been a shopping trip beyond all expectations when Mrs. Zuzana paid in May for her purchases made at one shopping mall by her Citibank credit card. By mere dint of doing so, she will now be flown to visit New York City!
And, there’s even more to it – she will fly to New York City together with her husband to spend a long weekend and, in addition, Citibank will give her Kc100,000 in pocket money. All of this because of the fact that she has won Citibank’s I Love New York usage campaign.
What was the promotion? It sufficed, in the period from May through July of this year, to pay for purchases made at any shop with Citibank credit card and check whether the last four digits printed on the cash register receipt were identical with the last four digits of one’s credit card number. Mrs. Zuzana was the first who matched her last four digits of the card to her receipt, notifying Citibank, and therefore claiming the first prize.
“I will fly with my husband and I look forward to enjoying the weekend together. As proud parents of our 8-month twins, we have not had many chances to go out lately. I’m sure that my parents will take good care of them in the meantime,“ Mrs. Zuzana shared her first impressions with us.
Once in New York, she will certainly go to check out some famous fashion shops, but she’s really anxious to visit the Metropolitan Museum. “When I was in New York on my first visit, I simply couldn’t make it,“ she said when being presented with the prize. And what is she going to do upon her return back to Prague? “Most likely, there will be shopping that will have to be done, and, well, I will pay for it with my Citibank credit card, as I do routinely though, since I am very satisfied with it,“ adds Mrs. Zuzana.
She thinks highly of her Citibank credit card mostly for its grace period as well as for the card’s most elaborated system of security and client protection. In addition to its proprietary credit cards, Citibank also brings to the market co-branded cards that are linked to additional benefits.
Mrs. Zuzana is not the only holder of Citibank credit card whom fortune has smiled on. Rules of the competition for a trip for two to NYC, plus a Kc100,000 pocket money bonus, may have perhaps read that the only winner will be a person who will be first to have met all of the competition‘s terms. However, Citibank later decided to award all credit card holders who complied with the competition’s rules. And so, another six happy Citibank credit card holders will get their second main prize – a long Wellness weekend for two in one of the most beautiful spas in the country – Trebon.
