CIPAC 28th meeting, October 1984 in Baltimore

Preliminary results were presented by Mr Horiba (CIPAC/3216). A TLC method had been used. Mr Byung reported to use a HPLC method. DAPA used a HPLC method also. This method could be made available. The matter would be discussed between JAPAC and DAPA. After a final report had been received a decision could be taken.

CIPAC 29th meeting, September 1985 in Copenhagen

The JAPAC report (CIPAC/3285) was presented by Mr Horiba. The method evoked some discussions about its selectivity. The method should be completed with an identity test. Mr Dobrat said that DAPA had a HPLC method. He was asked to supply this method.

Decision The TLCspectrophotometric method for fenobucarb technical and emulsifiable concentrates, CIPAC/3286, was adopted as provisional CIPAC method.

CIPAC 30th meeting, June 1986 in Vienna

Mr Kirai reported that the method had been completed with an identification test. Mr Tengler mentioned that DAPA was carrying out a collaborative trial with a HPLC method.

CIPAC 31st meeting, June 1987 in Cascais

Mr Tengler reported the results (3371) of a study with a HPLC method carried out by DAPA. Mr Bailey wondered why it was necessary to have so many repetitions as had been carried out in this study. It was agreed to go into this matter, when the point of harmonization of collaborative studies would be under discussion. As the already existing TLC method prepared by JAPAC was still provisional, there would be no collisions.

Decision The HPLC method for fenobucarb technical and formulations, CIPAC 3372, was adopted as provisional CIPAC method.

CIPAC 32nd meeting, June 1988 in Geneva

It was decided to leave the methods (TLC and HPLC) provisional. The methods would be published in CIPAC D as provisional anyhow.
