Children’s Choir to Present Program

We will be hosting the Watoto Children’s Choir on March 6. This is the organization through which we sponsor 13 orphan children. Their program is very energetic and inspirational. Plan to attend and bring a friend. You will be inspired and blessed.

Don’t be late on March 11. Time springs forward for the summer.

Do You Know?

Do you know who keeps the kitchen clean and stocked? Give your thanks to Kay Loges.

Do you know who prepares the church bulletin? Thank you, Sherry Riggins.

Do you know who posts the monthly calendar on the website? Linda Peterman does it faithfully.

Do you know who comes early and starts the heat or air conditioning, unlocks the doors, prepares the baptistery, etc.? Our Pastors do all sorts of various duties.

Do you know who serves on the Board of Trustees? F.M. Erikson, Don Jordan, Ruth Cayot, Len Haight and Jett Warren are the current members of the Board.

This is just a handful of workers of the church.

It takes all of us to do the Lord’s work.

Ladies of Faith

As part of their outreach work, the Ladies of Faith prepared and delivered seventeen Valentine tokens to some special people in February. This is a visit with Christian love as a ways to maintain contact with these people.

An Organized Response

Some people today reject the idea of belonging to a church by saying, “I’m spiritual but not part of any organized religion.”

It may be cute to respond by saying, “Well, you’d like our church. We’re the most disorganized group of people you could imagine.” But what a putdown to the body of Christ.

Instead, try saying this, “I really enjoy our church. We have something for everyone. I’ve learned so much and get a lift for living every week.” Briefly point out what has been most helpful and meaningful to you. Then offer to take the person to worship with you as your guest.

Thank you to all who have supported the fund raisers. You are appreciated!
