CHS Knock-Out Table Tennis

27th June 2016, Homebush Sports Centre

Congratulations to Sydney Boys once again winning this year at the CHS KO Table Tennis Tournament. Pool A ended up being an extremely competitive pool with 2 of the teams finishing 1st and 2nd overall. It is great to see the standard rising in the country regions namely Duval and Murray High Schools. Kingscliff will also be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple of years and it was great to see some strong female players coming from the school.

The round robin format was again well accepted and is still preferred as it gives teams more opportunities to play table tennis – especially the country teams. There are still issues with regions not notifying the convenor by the play-by-dates. I wish to reiterate that regions should be mindful of the notification dates. It is important that there is no bye in the draw as some areas travel long distances to compete and it is not worth their while if there are not many games to play.

Thank you to Grant Parker who attended and presented all of the medallions.
