CHS Class of 1977 Reunion Meeting - 1 April 2008 (7-9pm) and status

  1. Photography.
  1. Professional photographer will not be hired. The classmates can bring their own cameras and we can share digital pictures (via email and our web site) after the reunion.
  2. Sue will check into getting some disposal cameras to be placed on the tables.
  3. Sue will arrange to have her camera for a group shot. The group shot is planned for 9:30pm.
  1. Band.
  1. On Friday, April 4th the alumni committee will check out Skip Gundy’s band to determine if they will be hired to perform for our reunion (estimate $400). Anyone is welcome to attend.
  2. On May 17, during the reunion the Band will start playing between 8:30-8:45 PM. This will allow us some time for the classmates to mingle, reminisce and catch up with our classmates before the band starts.
  3. Steve Knight will run the music, play some songs off the laptop, and announce (DJ) before the band starts and while band is on break.
  4. Marnie will make a copy of the top “100” songs in 1977 for the band and work with Steve on the Music. We use this list as input and provide some other songs that others want to hear
  1. Mike and Marnie worked with Head Graphics to complete Reunion Invites, envelops and cover letters. Many thanks to Mike and Marnie for taking care of this!! A copy of the Invite can be found on the web site at: Cyndi and Sue Stumpf did a great job with the cover letter. Cynidi also be working hard on coordinating the addresses and emails. The Alumni committee completed the stuffing of the invite and cover letter into envelops.
  1. The Alumni committed agreed to work together to establish a table notice (program). This program or itinerary will be placed on the table showing the reunion night’s agenda of events including the time for the group photo.
  1. Marnie will work on the coordination of the memorial board. This board will be displayed with photos of deceased classmates.
  1. Susan will work on the organizing the group that will do the decorations. Minimum decorations will include but not limited to centerpieces on the tables. The decorations will be setup 30mins before the start of the reunion. Please contact Susan if you want to help with the decorations.
  1. Susan will work on the check-in and reception coordination committee. Check-in table will be non-classmate greeter volunteers. Please contact Susan if you know someone that want volunteer on the reception committee.
  1. Susan said that she will print out the name tags. Pre-printed name tags will be produced based on the RSVP list and available at the check-in table.
  1. Steve Knight is coordinating the reunion Happy Hour with Dimitris. He spoke with the Manager of the Dimitris earlier today. Steve got the ok from the Manager to use the Bar-Garden deck area. Steve will bring his Laptop to have some music setup. This is a pay as you go event. The classmates that attend will be free to mingle and move from table to table, to the bar and garden area. Our classmates will have to be on the "honor system" as to "who got what" on paying the bill for drinks and appetizers. The Manager is also wants to remind everyone who attends to take responsibility to pay your own bill as you go.
  1. Pat Cohill is organizing the Golf. There are several classmates that have expressed interest and more information on the golf will be posted on the web site soon.
  1. Mike will work on the final class directory listing and will use the will be used for the mailing. Once completed he will provide a copy to Pat Cohill for posting on the web site. Pat Cohill will also provide a copy of this final class directory to Cynthia for maintenance
  1. The Alumni Committee voted and unanimously approved to have our missing and the class directory posted on the web site. There are other CHS classes that have posted their class directory on the web and this provides a good way to find missing classmates. Only the CHS Class of 1977 classmates that approved to have their information shared will be posted. Any classmates can be removed from the directory by providing an email to Cynthia . Cynthia will keep this master copy of this class directory/ missing classmates and will provide the web master (Patrick Cohill ) weekly updates. The class directory and missing list will be updated every weekend on the web site until the time of the reunion. Meanwhile, please email Cynthia on any changes to the class directory and updates on any missing classmates. .
  1. Next meeting at Mike’s house, Sunday, 6 April 2008, to place stamps and address labels on invitations. Please bring any updated or corrected addresses.
  1. There may be one other Alumni Committee meeting scheduled before the reunion.
