Hi everyone,

As you are aware the Christmas Party is being held at(insert venue)on (insert date) from(insert commencement and finish time).

This is a time for us to celebrate the festive season by enjoying some social time together, and we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable.

Please remember however, that it is a work function and an appropriate standard of conduct is expected. With this in mind it is timely that we remind everyone of a few points:

1. Behaviour at the Party: The Company's Policies apply fully to this event, including;Code of Conduct,Bullying & Harassment, Grievance Procedures, Health & Safety Policy and appropriate use of Social Media Policy.

Copies of these policies can be accessed (insert where policies can be accessed).

Please familiarise yourself with these policies and be mindful of your obligations with respect to each of them. Note that alcohol consumption is no excuse for inappropriate behaviour including; harassment, bullying or misconduct of any kind.

2. Drugs and Alcohol: We remind you that the excessive consumption of alcohol and /or use of illegal drugs are prohibited at all times while attending the Christmas Party. The Company reserves the right to require the venue to refuse service of alcohol to any member of staff who is, in the Company's view, behaving inappropriately.

Food and drinks will be provided at the Christmas party including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. If you choose to drink alcohol, please ensure that you drink responsibly, be respectful to others and have plenty to eat.

If you have any special dietary requirements in relation to food or drink, please let [insert contact name] know as soon as possible.

Alcohol service will cease at(insert time). The function will cease at(insert time)and we would expect the function room to be vacated by this time.

For health and safety purposes, and for the best interest of everyone involved, (Insert company name) asks that you look out for one another at the party. If you see a friend behaving in an inappropriate manner please approach a member of the management team and alert them of this behaviour so appropriate action may be taken.

3. Transport: We advise all staff intending to drink alcohol at the Christmas Party that you should not drive. Please pre plan your travel arrangements to and from the Christmas Party to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

4. Contacts: If you have any concerns about the above mentioned points, become intoxicated, unwell or your transport arrangements fall through unexpectedly, please don't hesitate to ask for help by contacting one of the people listed below. Management will assist with making arrangements for safe transport home if necessary.

Likewise, if you are concerned about the wellbeing, safety or behaviour of a colleague, let one of the contact persons know so that appropriate assistance can be provided.

5. Photos and Social Media: We wish everyone to have great memories of the party however remind all staff, when posting (photos or comments) to social media,to use discretion and be thoughtful of your fellow employees. Remember that you are representing the company, and that posting of inappropriate photos is strictly prohibited. It is best practice to obtain consent from the people in the photo before posting.
