Interact Club – Prom Gowns: Our Interact Club has another project underway. They are collecting new and gently used prom gowns for Belle of the Ball. This program provides gowns to girls in need by referral and without charge. If you would like to donate a gown, please bring it to Ms. Halupowski in the Guidance Office. Gowns will be collected until February vacation. All gowns will be dry cleaned free of charge by Anton's Cleaners.

RYLA: Victor talked a bit about the extremely successful solicitation for RYLA candidates. The club has received 14 applications and Victor is looking for volunteers who would like to assist him in interviewing and selecting our candidates. If you are interested please contact Victor directly.

Speaker Program: Pete Colgan was our speaker and his talk was all about our establishing our “brand” (a statement of who we are as individuals and as a group known as the Rotary Club of Bedford. Our District has already completed this exercise and Pete has used the same questions for us, as a club, to undertake the same exercise. It will be a key factor in how other perceive us. He broke us into teams and handed out a series of targeted questions which, when completed and compiled in two weeks, will help us identify our “Brand”. It will be put in paragraph form and placed at the bottem botom of all our press releases, flyers etc. as a means of telling people outside of Rotary, who we are. Below is a list of individual assignments.

Happy Dollars: Pete was happy it snowed this morning, Jim and Melinda were happy for the lack of snow so far this winter, Bob Mead was just happy for good weather, Cliff said the heck with it and is headed for Florida, Ralph was happy he had registered for this year’s Pan Mass Challenge and for taking bicycle repair classes, Joel had no wallet (what’s up with that?), Bob was happy that he brought the door prize and picked himself to lead us in his Rotary song…again and because nobody would sit with him, Lynne was sorry for Bob’s hurt feelings, Nat was happy for good weather and another $4 for a new car, Kevin was happy/confused (something about Julius Caesar officially declaring January 1 to be a new year in 46 BC), Bill was happy he had such a good time in Pompano Beach last week, Victor was happy to have received 14 applications for RYLA, Terry was happy his daughter scored 16 of her teams 23 points the other evening
