*Beginning in 2011, the second Sunday in September has been designated on the churchwide calendar of Mennonite Church Canada and Mennonite Church USA as Christian Formation Sunday. It is sponsored by Mennonite Church Canada Christian Formation; Mennonite Education Agency, the education agency of Mennonite Church USA; and MennoMedia, creators of faith-based print, video, radio, and web materials for both denominations. Together, these organizations encourage congregations to emphasize the ministry of Christian nurture and education in its various forms: congregational formation activities, publishing, and church schools.

Churches may choose whatever date best fits their church year. Worship resources in both English and Spanish may be found at http://www.mennoniteeducation.org/MEAPortal/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=178.
