Functional Capabilities

• Programmer – I have been developing within the Adobe Flash application using Action script 3.0 since 2011.

Responsibilities include: Designing and developing courseware training for a varied level of projects within the Naval Education Training Commanddivision. Producing 2D computer simulations, using a custom developed sim engine for the Communications, and Weapon systems, of the United States Navy. Backfill the artists efforts, when work load dwarfs allotted deadline schedule. Develop mission specific templates, requested by Instructional Designers, to streamline consistency within the interactive production pipeline. Develop application specific Java Scripts to assist the artists in working smarter, not harder, to achieve deadlines.

• 1/23/2012– 12/6/2013 – Programmer/ Lead Artist – Carley Corp.

Responsibilities included: Assisting project lead programmer with design and development of IMI3 courseware. Work with customer to find a solution to their IMI3 training needs. Assist other project leads to hit deadlines and stay on schedule. Work with Subject Matter Experts to make their dreams a reality! Assist my lead in performing analysis on ALL project IMI3 courseware to provide foresight about upcoming project challenges. I was named the Carley Corp employee of the month for December, 2012 for completing 25 hours of IMI3 level courseware as onscreen lessons in a three month period. In the role of Lead Artist I defined and documented graphic conversion procedures and processes that streamlined the project requirements to allow for a small artist footprint. I worked closely with a team of 38 Instructional Designers to keep their lesson development on time.

Responsibilities included: Design and develop ALL aspects of visual training. Utilizing ActionScript 3.0 in conjunction with a custom template, I was able to develop field classroom training for the Army. I learned too much to list here about ActionScript 3.0. I am continuing to learn!

Responsibilities included: Design and develop training assets. Assist with new team member development. Apply design knowledge to training problems presented by Instructional Designers. Assist with populating and administration of the OutStart LMS. Work with Learning Subject Matter Experts to develop the best level of training possible for the client. Administer team projects within budgetary restraints while completing toptier assigned effort, in time, and under budget. I challenged myself to learn more and be at the top of current design and technology curves in an effort to bring the team to a higher level of productivity and professionalism.

• 7/4/2005– 7/25/2008 – Multimedia Design Engineer – Lockheed Martin

Responsibilities included: Worked closely with the Instructional Designer to provide multimedia direction for interactive assets and image based training aids. Trouble shoot and propose new efficient methods for the existing courseware template. Experience the startup procedures for a Meridian LMS. Maintained office supply levels for the entire courseware team. I was the 3D interactive asset gotoguy for the courseware department, this often required cross departmental collaboration. I assisted with new, intern and existing, member training and worked closely with the department to bring new team members up to speed.

I am a classically trained artist. I am fully versed in the use of 90% of digital design applications. If I have not used a digital graphics application, I can learn it very quickly. I have been producing graphics and interactive training for DOD since 2005.

I have been providing technical illustration capabilities to my employers since 1993. I am able to read and update blueprints. I can build 3D models or line art 2D illustrations, based on blueprints.

I have been building custom computers and setting up wireless networks in residential settings since 2005, as a hobby.

• 3D Artist 5 years

I have modeled all primary weapon systems for the AC130 U and H gunships within Maya. I have also created a 3D training aid of the 105mm Howitzer canon's firing cycle utilizing Right Hemisphere's Deep Creator and Deep Explorer. I have taught myself the following 3D applications: Maya, 3DS Max, and Blender.

Right after graduating from Florida State University in 1998, I obtained a job as an interactive designer in a national advertising agency. I was responsible for developing brand identities as well as concepts for on line presence campaigns and projects.

• Courseware Development 6 years

I was able to develop a stand-alone courseware module dealing with the MRAP vehicles for SAIC in 2011. Although the contract lasted only 5 months, I was responsible for all development of the graphics as well as the interactivity of the module. SME provided text. Since 2005, I have been developing courseware for a variety of different projects and customers. I enjoy pulling from my multimedia experience to develop cutting edge solutions that exceed customer expectations. While my focus has always been on efficiency within a production environment, I strive to keep the courseware at the highest level, while delivering training products in the least amount of time.

I was employed as a residential draftsman for Mooney Construction in 1993. (pencil and vellum) I recreated foundation and detail plans. I have been excited to go back to school for a CAD certificate.

All of the Adobe CS suite, I am still learning the Edge line of applications, all others I am proficient. Autodesk MAYA, Right Hemisphere Deep Creator/ Deep Exploration (aka.Esperient Creator), Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and Captivate. I have extensive experience developing audio assets to enhance courseware quality. I am versed in the use of video editing and compositing software, such as, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Apple’s Final Cut Studio. I also enjoy audio editing and mastering for video or voice over tasking, using the Adobe Audition application. Operating Systems Windows and Mac compatible.
