  • Jazz Technique: contemporary, classical and theatre styles for beginner through advanced students
  • Modern Technique: fusion of modern, post-modern and contemporary including improvisation and partnering styles for beginner through advanced students
  • Tap Technique: focus on classical and moving into rhythm tap styles for beginner through advanced students
  • Ballet Technique: reinforcing generalized proper technique and introducing terminology for beginner through intermediate students
  • Literature and Materials of the Arts: interdisciplinary course that introduced different genres and techniques to students of all artistic backgrounds

Courses developed for grades 9-12

  • Introduction to Dance: an overview of dance history
  • Dance Production: the behind-the-scenes aspect of creating a presenting dance
  • Dance Composition: focusing mainly on creating and designing meaningful choreography
  • Senior Synthesis: research and project-based course, yielding a final paper with an integrated creative project; students, as a group, present a self-produced final concert

Director, Henry Mancini Arts Academy, 2010-2014

Responsibilities included scheduling, and designing and implementing curriculum for an after school and weekend program, offering courses in Art, Dance, Music and Theatre as well as various workshops and master classes throughout the year; communication with customers via email and in person, customer retention and problem-solving skills; placement of students in proper classes and levels. Additionally responsible for text on website and working with marketing team to develop strategies and brochures. 2013 Winner of Beaver County Times Best Dance Studio Award; Mancini Academy earned a profit for the first time in 2013, since it’s inception in 2005.
