JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County, an advocacy center for children that is located in Mineral Wells, Texas, seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to serve as Executive Director for our nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate should be a compassionate leader who can represent Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County in a professional manner and who can work collaboratively across all sectors of the community.

CHILDREN’S ALLIANCE CENTER FOR PALO PINTO COUNTY’SMISSION: Uniting collective efforts to prevent child abuse, reduce trauma of abuse, and protect our children while restoring the families of our community.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Executive Director is a professional position charged with implementing the mission ofChildren’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County (CACPPC). The Executive Director is responsible for overall operations of the organization and its programs, including financial management, personnel supervision, program development, public relations, and fundraising. The Executive Director works in close collaboration with the board of directors, as well as partner agencies. The executive director travels within the CACPPC service area and the state, as required.

Background investigations will be conducted on all candidate finalists.

REPORTS TO: Board of Directors

SALARY RANGE: $48,000 to $55,000, annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in a management position, including supervision of staff, budget development and financial management.
  • Leadership experience with a supportive, service approach to managing staff and volunteers.
  • Experience with public relations or community relations.
  • Experience working collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds in community based organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in public-speaking.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years or more experience in a management position, including supervision of staff, budget development and financial management.
  • Experience with program development and/or expansion.
  • Experience in nonprofit administration and working with volunteer boards.
  • Understanding of child abuse issues and the criminal justice system.
  • Experience working with a children's advocacy center and/or familiarity with the CAC model.
  • Experience with government contracts and grants for nonprofits.
  • Experience with fundraising from public and private sources.
  • Graduate degree.
  • Preference given to candidates living within 50 miles of the CACPPC service area of Palo Pinto County orwho are willing to relocate.
