DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Class Worship Class 4 Wednesday 25th February. Parents Welcome

Parents Evening Monday 9thMarch – Appointment letters have been sent out If you have not already returned your child’s pupil progress book, would you please do so to enable the class teacher to complete the details for this term.

Inset Day Friday 20th March – There will be NO staff on site all day – Offsite training.

JEWELLERY DURING PE

Please note: If your child had their ears pierced, they must be removed on the days where the children have PE, we cannot put plasters over the ear ring as there is still a high chance of the ears being caught and the ear lobe damaged. There can be NO jewellery worn during any PE lesson.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISORS

In order to comply with Health and Safety regulations, when all the children are out at lunchtime, we need a minimum of 2/3 people to supervise the children. If any of our current lunchtime supervisors are absent, this leaves us with a shortfall. If any parent/carer is interested in becoming a casual lunchtime supervisor, one that can be called upon with only a few hours’ notice, then please contact Mrs Wilson.

SCHOOL MEALS

May we remind parents that school meals should be paid for in advance on a Monday or at the beginning of each half term. Failure to pay on time could have a direct impact on your child’s education, as the money that should be used to pay for classroom resources is having to pay for dinner arrears.

Also, can parents ensure that dinner money is bought into school in an envelope or purse/wallet clearly marked with your child’s name, as we are not allowed to accept loose cash at the office. Children are also asked to bring in their own dinner money to give in to their class teacher, as this encourages a little independence.

Dinner menus should also be returned by Friday morning registration, if your child does not bring in their menu they will still get a school lunch, however, they will not get their first choice of meal or drink.

SCHOOL DAY

Please note: The school day finishes at 3.15pm for classes 1 and 2 and 3.30pm for classes 3 and 4. If you are not able to collect your child at the designated time due to unforeseen circumstances, please telephone the school to avoid your child becoming anxious that they may have been forgotten.

NATURE WALK – CLASS 2 AND 3

On Monday 23rd February we would like to take the children in classes 2 and 3 on a nature walk on the common. Please ensure that the children in these two classes bring in their coats and wellies.

NATIONAL AUTISM WEEK

Week commencing 30th March is National Autism Week. On Thursday 2nd April we will be supporting this cause by having a ‘SILLY SOCK DAY’, it will be the usual school uniform, but the children can wear the silliest socks they can find. Please help support this fantastic cause by bringing in a minimum donation of £1.00. Thank you.
