Friday, 1st• FRIDAY FUN TIME at CMEO!

Weekly Theme: Cleanliness & Chores

Join us for Friday Fun Time involving the word of the week. We will be discussing the word through stories and reading books to increase each child’s vocabulary and literacy skills. During this time we will be teaching the children the word of the week in both English and Spanish as well as in sign language.Come in for stories, a craft project and a snack all about the word of the week. • open early at9:15

COOKING CLASS: Acorn Dough NUTS!

Your kids will go nutty for these clever fall treats, which look like acorns but taste a whole lot sweeter. • 3:45-5:00 pm • Registration Required • Cost: $2 members, $3 non-members

Word of the Week:Family

CMEO now offers weekly worksheets and coloring contests involving our word of the week. Worksheets are available for ages 5 and up at the front desk and all supplies are for your use in the craft room. Walk around the museum and utilize our exhibits to help you answer questions or just learn something new! This is an excellent opportunity to get involved and help enhance your child’s cognitive skills.

Craft of the Week:Create Your Own Family Tree

Check out our weekly craft project that is displayed every Tuesday in the craft room. The craft is available all week long until 4:00 pm.

Wednesday,6th• Simple Science: Worm Composting

Worms play a major role in breaking down plant matter and creating fertile soil. Observe wonderful worm activity for yourself by building a worm column. • 3:45pm-5:00pm• Registration Required

Thursday, 7th• “Pee-Wee” P.E.

Come join us for some HEALTHY FUN! Children ages 3 and up can release their energy in a fun and fit way that will help them develop better body awareness, self-control, flexibility and coordination. We will be practicing jump rope, tumbling, yoga, and alternating cool-down games, such as “Simon Says”.• 2:30-3:00pm

Homework Help: Back to school and back to homework! We offer an hour of homework help & tutoring for 2nd- 5th grade students. We provide helpful feedback, resources for homework, and general assistance. • 3:45pm-4:45pm Registration Required

Saturday, 30th • HALLOWEEN PARTY!

Come celebrate Halloween with fun crafts and yummy treats all day at CMEO. Wearing your costume is encouraged as pictures will be taken!• $1 per child • 1 pm – 2 pm

***All activities cost $3 per person, normal museum admission***

Hours: 10 am – 5 pm, Tuesday – Saturday (Fridays we open at 9 am!)
