  • Responsible for a multinational Counter-Terrorism competition exercise involving elite units from17 countries which includes bidding, awarding and supervising 10 major construction projects in the host country – Paraguay.
  • Co-chaired numerous interagency Working Groups.
  • Assists in the development and management of a $20 million exercise program.

Director of Operations

Joint Task Force Bravo (JTF B)Jun 2004 – Jul 2005

Soto Cano Air Force Base, Honduras

Major Functions:

  • Directed the Operations Directorate for a forward deployed JTF of five major subordinate unitsand two contracting firms located in Central America. Responsible for operations, logistics, personnel and administrative management, intelligence, budget, and future force developments for over of 1200 soldiers and civilians. Planned and coordinated all activities to include: the execution of all contingency operations, disaster response missions, Humanitarian and Civic action projects, exercises, training, and operations overseas with American Embassies, Host Governments, and general officers. Directed and supervised a staff of 43 personnel. Provided 24-hour command and control capability through management of the JointOperationCenter. Created long-range training plans and calendars, published strategic guidance, and planned and conducted a comprehensive accident response exercise.
  • Responsible for the entire JTF’s staff's organization, training, professional development and successful execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Coordinator for Counter Narco-terrorism (CNT). Planned, coordinated and directed crisis response for a wide range of CNT missions throughout Central America resulting in the capture and destruction of multiple tons of illegal drugs.
  • Successfully planned, resourced and executed $39M construction projects throughout Central Americaby deploying hundreds of engineers from numerous stateside locations.

Chief, Special Operations Theater Support Element

Major Functions:

  • Commanded a forward deployed element of USASOC as the Commander’s primary liaison between the U.S. Southern Command, American Embassies in Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Reviewed strategic plans to facilitate and support all mission requirements by reach back capability to extensive stateside resources.
  • Rapidly deployed and supported ongoing peace keeping operations in Haiti by logistics sustainment of over a 3000 man Joint Task Force.
  • Simultaneously planned, coordinated, and executed as Officer in Charge a major exercise in the Dominican Republic. This exercise trained 1800 soldiers from 18 different countries in a joint, interagency collective field training exercise.
  • Flawlessly executed oversight on a $7M budget.
