Age 71. Died peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with his family by his side, following complications from diabetes. Born June 19, 1935 in Joliet to the late Albert C. Sr. and Ethel (nee Dammann) Naal, he was a lifetime resident. Graduate of St. Raymond Grade School Class of 1949, and Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1953. He received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 1957 from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA. Former owner of Naal Package Liquor Store and co-owner of Naal Plumbing & Heating Company. Served for many years as a trustee on the Pension, Welfare, and Apprentice Boards of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #422, and the Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Association. Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council #382. Member of the Men's Club and the Seniors Group at the Cathedral of St. Raymond. He formerly served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Frances H. (nee Tures), whom he married November 11, 1961 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno; loving father of Meg (Dale) Underwood Jr., John T. (Micki) Naal and Colette (Lance) Surges; proud grandfather of Monica and Daniel Underwood and Austin, Nathan and John Lawrence Naal. Also survived by three siblings, Nancy (Robert) Holdridge of Benicia, CA, William (Judith) Naal of Joliet and Jean (late Ronald) Smiles of Joliet; brother-in-law of Geraldine (late Richard) Gollick and Donald (Phyllis) Tures; his aunt, Bernice Peterson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mary T. (nee O'Brien) Naal; in-laws, Nicholas and Margaret Tures; special uncles, Jeffrey, Clarence and Edmund Naal.

Went home to be with her beloved Jesus and dear husband, Ed. Survived by two loving daughters, Lorraine (Kenneth) Marasso of Arkansas and Carol (Jack) Horvat of Minooka; four grandchildren, Stephen (Jean) Marasso, Jana Marasso, John (Shari) Horvat and Eddie (Sue) Horvat; four great-grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jo) Grob, Jason (Deana) Grob, Jamie Grob and Jack William Horvat; one great-great-granddaughter, Callie Grob; three sisters, Frances Trousil of California, Josephine Lewickas of Joliet and Antoinette Maichin of California; one brother, Frank Pettinato; a sister-in-law, Alma Pettinato of California and numerous nieces & nephews.

Clara was so very proud of her family and loved them dearly. She had many loving friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Edmund F. Naal, 1986; parents, Rosario and Angela (Fabiano) Pettinato; two brothers, Samuel and Joseph Pettinato and two sisters, Mary Dalfonsi and Sadina Canino.

Born in Joliet and was a lifetime resident.

Member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond CCW, Immaculate Heart of Mary Prayer Group and the Nova Club of Senior Citizens.

Age 102, died Sunday, February 10, 2002 at Our Lady of Angels, Joliet, IL. She was born January 25, 1900 in Minooka, IL.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Marilyn) of Sacramento, California, and John (Mary) of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Comerford; husband, John (died 1983); daughter, Mary Margaret Yahn.

She was a descendent of a pioneer Grundy Co. farm family.

Her great grandfather, William Comerford, was a founding settler in Minooka, IL in 1850. Her great grandmother, Honora Comerford (Smith) is buried in the Dresden Pioneer Cemetery overlooking the Illinois River.

She died in 1854. The first Catholic Mass in Grundy Co. was said in 1864 in the home of George Comerford, Mrs. Baskerville's grandfather.

The land for St. Mary's Cemetery in Minooka was donated by her father, Thomas Comerford.
