Checkout after Youth Premium Livestock Auction

Open to all youth (including Cloverbuds) who are residents of Breckinridge County, and who are registered Breckinridge County 4-H Rabbit Club members, and who have attended a Breckinridge County school during the year of showing, includes the fair following the member’s high school graduation. Those 4-H Rabbit Club members who are registered as across county line participants will be allowed to show in the 4-H Youth Rabbit Show. All 4-H and Cloverbuds are required to show at the Breckinridge County Spring Show in order to be able to show at the 4-H County Fair Show, unless extenuating circumstances are approved by 4-H Rabbit Club leaders and 4-H agent in advance.

All Cloverbuds will have their own show and will NOT be eligible for the Youth Premium Livestock Auction and must complete a rabbit poster and project book. Those 4-H Rabbit Club members who are registered as across county line participants will not be able to sell at the Youth Premium Livestock Auction.

4-H Exhibitor must have completed the required six (6) hours of educational meetings. All cloverbuds must have 6 hours of educational meetings. Exhibitor must turn in a completed project book and a written essay on their 4-H Rabbit Project in order to show and sell at the Youth Premium Livestock Auction.

All rabbits shall be identified by an ear tattoo by the 4-H Rabbit Club’s tattoo date. Rabbits shall be owned and under continual care of exhibitor by tattoo date.

All rabbits on check-in date (Tuesday, July 10th) will be checked for health problem and could be disqualified. Cages will be provided. Each 4-H exhibitor can show three (3) rabbits, but not in same class. The rabbits can be Jr or Sr and must not exceed one (1) year old at or on Tuesday, July 10th, 2017. All rabbits will be weighed at check-in time Tuesday, July 10th. The 4-H exhibitor can only sell one (1) animal at the Youth Premium Livestock Auction. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third places. Awards for Grand and Reserve champions for Does and Bucks will also be presented. All 4-H Rabbits can be released after the Youth Premium Livestock Auction on Thursday, July 12th; you must see Will Tucker or Carla Nash prior to picking up entries.
