_____Complete theApplication for Admission to Graduate Studyand Program Entrance Form and send to the UNI Women's & Gender Studies office.
_____Submit a Sample of Scholarly Writing to the UNI Women's & Gender Studies office.
- Ensure the sample demonstratesyour ability to discuss, analyze, and critically synthesize information and ideas. Also, include a cover sheet identifying the course for which the paper was written, the nature of the assignment and the date it was written.
_____Submit a Statement of Purposeto the Women's & Gender Studies office.
- Statement should be 2-3 pages, typed, double-spaced.
Include the following:
- Draw relationships between your previous education, life experiences, and the master’s program in Women’s & Gender Studies at UNI
- Identify specific personal and academic goals you hope to achieve through graduate education in women’s and gender studies
- Describe academic areas of interest that you plan to pursue in the course of your graduate studies at UNI
- Outline tentative professional career plans you hope to pursue after completing your degree
- Identify any forms of civic engagement or activism in which you have participated
_____Distribute 2 Personal Recommendation Forms to persons providing references
for you.
- Write or type your name and address at the top of the forms
- Check the appropriate box if you are waiving the right to see the recommendations before they are submitted for consideration
_____If applying for funding, submit the Graduate Assistantship Stipend Form and the Graduate Tuition Scholarship Form to the UNI Women's & Gender Studies office.
_____File official transcript(s) and $50.00 application fee:
