WELCOME: Mrs. Julien opened the meeting at 2p.m. Ms. Gibson read the November minutes. Ms. Allen moved the motion to pass the reading of the minutes, seconded by Ms. Aspler.
BUDGET/PERSONNEL/ENROLLMENT/SAFETY: Ms. Talley also said that we are fully staffed and there are no vacancies currently. Our new Assistant Principal Ms. Crawford is on board and we are happy to have her. Drew’s enrolled mounted to 284 and Ms. Dean will give the West Campus count at the next meeting
DREW TEEN PARENT AND WEST CAMPUS UPDATE: Mrs. Allen mentioned SAT test date will be January 21, 2017.talked about to upcoming SEAS field trips which will be held February 1st and 2nd. Testing at Drew will start February 28. West Campus update students will watch movie Hidden Figures on January in celebration of Black History Month
ADULT LITERACY/PARTNERSHIP NEWS: Ms. Gibson congratulated student Peter Faust from our BOC off campus site for passing the GED test. She also introduced our new student intern Safa Hill who will be a trainee for the next nineteen weeks. Safa will enjoy the benefits of getting free bus pass every month, one time clothing voucher and paid work experience. Her GED test will be paid for in full and she will also receive an extra $100.00 award for passing the GED test. Ms. Gibson also said that food distribution will be once per month and all students at BOC and Turning Point programs will be participating in our Black History month activities.
SAC Meeting Minutes- January 17, 2017

SAC meeting began at 2:12 pm by Mrs. Julien
Mrs. Talleytalked about the voting that was allotted and said that the cost voted for the basketball court was more than what was budgeted. The Bond funds included renovation for the bathrooms and umbrellas for the outside area of the school. Currently the media center is under renovation.
Mrs. Julien congratulated Ricardo Vargas for his promotion and welcomed new YMCA community representative Jeff Crowley.
Mrs. Julien asked SAC members and community members for ideas about Bonds Funds for the Charles Drew Family Resource Center Campus. Various ideas were brought to the table such as: Covered walkways in Portable area, gazebo, mural in the front of the school, and tablet for teachers, removing bench and renovation of the front office.
Mrs. Julien motioned to adjourn the meeting at 2:25 pm. Seconded by Ms. Reyes.
