Appendix V – Charges for National Long Distance Calls and Calls to Mobiles (SFOA) / 1 / 2 August 20171.When does this Appendix V apply?
(a)This Appendix V only applies to you if the standard pricing table for your service tells you that we will charge you for national long distance calls and calls to mobiles in accordance with this Appendix V.
(b)You should refer to the terms of the standard pricing table for your service to clarify whether this Appendix applies and how it applies or you may contact us to confirm if this Appendix applies to you.
(c)The Optus Outbound Voice Service and Optus Evolve Voice Service refer to this Appendix V.
(d)Charges may be shown as a dollar amount followed by a dollar amount in brackets.The first dollar amount represents the charge before GST is applied, and the dollar amount in brackets is the GST inclusive charge.
2.How We Calculate the Cost of a Call
(a)Charging commences at the time a connection is established and stops when a call is terminated.
(b)Calls are charged per second.
(c)The call charge for each call is made up of:
(i)An initial or flagfall charge (if any) specified in the relevant standard pricing table; PLUS
(ii)the charge per second set out in this Appendix V, multiplied by the duration of the call and rounded up to the nearest second and cent.
3.National Long Distance Calls
We will charge you either:
(a)a Flat Rate per second;or
(b)an Intercaptial and Regional Call Rate per second depending on the call type;
according to the selection you make in your application for the service. If you do not make a selection, we will charge you the Flat Rate per second.
3.2What is the Flat Rate per second?
The Flat Rate is $0.0023333 ($0.0025666 including GST) per second for all National Long Distance Calls.
3.3What is the Intercapital / Regional Rate per second?
(a)The Intercaptial/Regional Rates per second for all National Long Distance Calls are as follows:
Intercapital Call $0.0020000 ($0.0022000 including GST) per second
Regional Call$0.0026666 ($0.0029332 including GST) per second
3.4What is an Intercapital Call?
A National Long Distance Call between any of the following locations as defined inAppendix Cas a National Special Route will be an 'Intercapital Call'in this Appendix V:
Sydney / Melbourne / HobartCanberra / Brisbane / Darwin
Adelaide / Newcastle / Perth
Geelong / Sunshine Coast / Gold Coast
Cairns / Wollongong / Townsville
3.5What is a Regional Call?
A National Long Distance Call that is not an Intercapital Call as defined in clause 3.4 above will be a 'Regional Call'in this Appendix V.
4.Calls to Mobiles
We will charge you $0.0050000 ($0.0055000 including GST) per second for calls to mobiles (digital).
