Chapter 2 – Principles of Ecology

Chapter 3, Section 1 - Succession

Ø  Terms:

Chapter 4 – Population Dynamics

Ø  What is meant by density-dependent and density-independent factors? What are some examples of each?

Ø  Be able to answer questions about a population curve.

Ø  Be able to compare organisms that follow a rapid life-history pattern with those who follow a slow life-history pattern.

Ø  Be able to answer questions about a population of organisms and determine when the carrying capacity of that population was reached. Be able to identify what factors could be changed to alter the carrying capacity.
