Call for Chapters-- Handbook of Research on Applied Cybernetics and Systems Science
Cybernetics is a relatively new skill area in the field of computer science and computational mathematics and involves the following academic departments and disciplines: Theory and Technology of Programming, Mathematical Informatics, Information Systems, Computational Mathematics, Modeling of Complex Systems, Operations Research, Systems Analysis and Theory of Decision Making, Applied Statistics. Specialized sub-systems using cybernetics are built in intelligent Information Technologies; Information Technology and Systems; Programming Technologies; Intelligent Processing of Information and Knowledge; System Analysis and Decision Making; Stochastic Analysis of Systems; Operations Research; Modeling and Optimization of Systems, to name a few.
The edited book volume is divided into five sub-sections:
Signal processing and communications, Systems and Computational Biology; Machine learning and Data Sciences; Statistical Models and Designs in Computing and Scientometrics,Cybermetrics and Cybernetics.
IGI Global proposes a Handbook on Cybernetics, titled “Handbook of Research on Applied Cybernetics and Systems Science” with special emphasis on the areas mentioned above. It is left to the EIC of the book volume to connect the different subsections. The book volume aims at providing expository articles written by internationally recognized experts on the state of the art in Applied Computing and should serve as pilot pointer to young researchers in Computer, Information and System sciences. The book volume targets researchers in the System Science and IT primarily and therefore would welcome articles, written by experts adept at explaining complex concepts in lucid and fluid style. Other than discussion and exposition of relevant and related scholarly work in the area, the Editors welcome the authors to highlight their work in the field.
We would like to invite you to write a chapter on one of the areas mentioned above. We believe that your contribution will be an extremely valuable component of this collection. The audience targeted by the volume consists of researchers and graduate students in Computer Science, System Science, IT and Information Science. In order for each chapter to be accessible to a broad readership, we are asking that each contribution be written as an overview of the area, with illustrative examples, with key references, and with a discussion that includes open problems in the area. Thus, for example, we are not asking for a paper in the form of a research journal article.
Sincerely,
Editors-Handbook of Research on Applied Cybernetics and Systems Science
