Grad Committee Meeting

  1. Discussion of Committee Roles and Responsibilities: Meeting upcoming for grads next week to inform all grads of what is happening. Chair of a committee is to act as a disseminator of information to other committee members and to the general populous of the grad meeting attendees. No chair or committee has unilateral power; they are there to bring forward information to the committees.
  1. Email for Ideas: Grads and parents can send emails with their thoughts and ideas to - this will be read by Mr. Gillard or Mrs. Giczi so that all voices can be heard. No decisions will be made until after Christmas re venue, events etc.
  1. Committee Reports:
  • Grad Coordinator Report- Nothing to report for time being.
  • Finance Report- Most funds will be taken care of by the office so Christine will be in touch with Kendall Baer in the office to keep up to date.
  • Communications Report- Minutes will be forwarded through Mrs. Giczi and Mr. Gillard to all families.
  • Raffle Contact Report- Chair is aware of contacting person for raffle information. We are responsible for providing 8 or more $100 value prizes for the raffle. Please contact Crystal Couch or Suzan Davy (FHC Coordinator) (). These prizes need to be dropped doff with Suzan Davy by December 18th!

Tickets for the raffle will be printed in the new year (color coded for each school) $10 per ticket 10 tickets per book. Grads will be signing for two books of tickets and will be responsible for the money so PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THE BOOKS> More ticket books are available if wanted by anyone.

  • Grad Mass Report- Nothing to add.
  • Cap and Gown Report- The school is entirely responsible for this ceremony and grads and parents and families just need to show up!
  • Decorating Report- No theme decided by grads and venue not decided upon. Suggestion made to decorate simply with no theme but this will need to be voted on by the grads. Suggestion to grads to come to the meeting next week with ideas and if possible print picture ideas etc. and bring it forward to all of the grads.
  • Banquet and Prom Report- Food suggestions needed and whether or not it will be sit down or buffet style. Again ideas need to be brought forward to the meeting next week with all of the grads so all grads can chose their favorites. Major changes to basic format will be brought forward to both the grads and parents as well. I.e. if dinner becomes grads only and no families except for dessert afterward. Christine has gotten a quote from the Hi Country Inn for both served meal and buffet style but all food decisions will have to be worked on AFTER the choice for venue is made.
  • Substance Free After-Grad Report- Hypnotist is booked tentatively so it will be brought forward to the grads to decide if that is what they want to do- Meaghan will bring forward to the grads at next week’s meeting.
  1. Upcoming Events/ Fundraisers:
  • Semi- Formal? - Dance tomorrow at FHC but otherwise no plans made as of yet for a semi-formal. Possibly Valentine’s??
  • YOOP Serving- Friday December 11 at 4:00pm at CYO Hall- 14 Kids have signed up with Mrs. Giczi so please remember to show up. Marianne Phelps and Phyllis Hanson will be there- Starr, Kate, Teaghan, Janelle, Jenn, Angus, Aleyx, Delaney, Parker, Daniel K, Mason, Hannah, Macey, Donovan, Mark McG. Please note that you have to go in through the entrance by the Wood Street school and not
  • Arbonne- table to be set up for pancake breakfast on Tuesday December 8th at 07:30am
  • Lion’s Club Bosses Bash- Coat Check and drivers home for partygoers Saturday December 12 at 6:00pm. Signed up are: Kate, Lauren, Kathleen, Michaela, Meaghan, Sidney R, Wendy, and Brandon. A parent coordinator will be needed and Mr. Gillard will send an email and perhaps split the kids into shifts.
  1. Hoodies- Sarah Ott has a list of all of those who have paid for hoodies. Janelle Bonnycastle will be turning the money into Mr. Gillard daily from payments for them.
  1. Share the Spirit Pancake Breakfast- Mrs. Giczi invited everyone to the pancake breakfast Tuesday December 8th starting at 7:30am.
