Studio Art Grading Rubric Monochromatic Painting Midterm Drawing and Painting
Design and complete a monochromatic painting after sketching an original idea. Your painting should include at least 4 values of the chosen color. Black and white may be added to enhance the design. Be sure your design is original and considers principles of composition. ( movement, contrast, unity, rhythm, pattern, balance) Your painting should nonobjective, and it may NOT include the commercial work of other artists. However, you may use reference materials gathered prior to that day.
