Trust and Statutory Fundraising Officer

1.  PURPOSE OF JOB:

To lead on developing new sources of support from major Charitable Trusts and Statutory sources and maintaining strong relationships with existing supporters which will support Centrepoint’s services to homeless young people.

3.  RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF:

4.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  To be responsible for developing funding applications that support the identified activity and budgeted costs of the Centrepoint business plan.

·  To be responsible for submitting high quality, well researched applications that meet funding priorities within the submission deadline.

·  To be responsible to develop and send out quarterly mailings.

·  To be responsible for compiling accurate budgets that account for full cost recovery and are approved by the finance department.

·  To work closely with service managers and internal departments to ensure that all funding proposals are accurately costed, planned and resourced.

·  To be responsible for securing comprehensive feedback from unsuccessful funding proposals and utilising the information to inform future applications.

·  To be aware of the reporting requirements of major Trusts and Foundations and to be responsible for providing accurate and timely responses to their requests.

·  To be responsible for managing existing relationships with major Trusts and Foundations to ensure that funders are aware of project performance and receive regular updates.

·  To be responsible for cultivating new support and interest through research, networking, mailings, events, face to face and telephone communication and the websites, journals and publications of the sector.

·  To be responsible for maintaining accurate, up to date records of fundraising activity using paper based systems and the “Raiser’s Edge” database.

·  To play a key role in the planning and development of fundraising activity through input at team meetings and in supervision sessions.

·  To help deliver and develop the trust and statutory fundraising strategy and to utilise the events portfolio as appropriate with existing and prospective funders.

·  To provide support, advice and guidance to other junior team members in the statutory and trusts fundraising team.

Salary: £29,739 depending on skills and experience

Working hours: Full time working hours are 37.5 hours per week
