The Thorn Braveheart Memorial Trophy for the Champion ridden pony.

Highland Pony Society rosettes for the In-hand and Ridden Champions Sashes will be awarded to the In-hand and Ridden Champions Rosettes awarded 1st to 6th in all classes.

Class 1: Gelding, 4, 5 or 6 years old

Class 2: Gelding, 7 years old or over

Class 3: Yeld mare competing in ridden class

Class 4: Veteran stallion, mare or gelding; 15 years old & over

Class 5: Mare, not competing in ridden classes; to include brood mares.

Rosette for Best Foal.

Class 6: 3yo filly or gelding

Class 7: 2yo colt, filly or gelding

Class 8: Yearling colt, filly or gelding

Class 9: Stallions or colts 3 years and over

Class 10: Nursery Novice 4 years old & over; ponies not to havecompeted under saddle prior to 1st January 2015

Class 11: Novice 4 years old & over, under 14hh (143cm); ponies nothave been placed 1st to 3rd in any open Highland or M&M class prior to 1st January 2015

Class 12: Novice 4 years old & over, 14hh and over (143cm–148cm);ponies not have been placed 1st to 3rd in any open Highland or M&M class prior to 1st January 2015

(Ponies in classes 10 to 12 must wear a snaffle bridle as per NPS rules)

Class 13: Open; 4 years old & over, under 14hh (143cm)

Class 14: Open; 4 years old & over, 14hh or over (143cm–148cm)

Class 15: Ridden Veteran, 15 years old & over

The winner of each class will receive their choice of print from the day.

Open to ALL Club Members, (Including those with partbreds, overheight, unregistered, ponies)

Starting approx. 10 am (not before) after the completion of class 4

Class 16: Tack and Turnout – Ponies presented Ridden or In hand. To be judged on the presentation of the pony and its handler/rider.

Class 17: CSHPC - Club Rider–For Adult Riders new, or returning to the show ring. Riders not to have been placed 1st-3rd in any showing class in the past 3 years. Canter, optional, in individual show only.

Class 18: Junior Ridden – riders under 16 years old. Prize for all junior entries.

Class 19: CSHPC Club Pony – to be judged on ponyssuitability to be an all-rounder/fun pony. There will be two jumps, not exceeding 50cm, to be included in individual show. Conformation will not be judged.

There will be no championship for this section.

HIGHLAND PONY SOCIETY STALLION PARADE 2015

Applications are invited from all owners of HPS licensed stallions to display their ponies at this event. This will be an ideal opportunity to see Stallions in hand, ridden and with progeny. The parade will commence approx 12pm (following the completion of the CSHPC in-hand championship) in the large indoor arena.

DRESSAGE – JUDGING 9.00 AM – 2.00 PM

(Break for lunch at 12 noon for 30 mins)

Self Stewarding, time declaration sheet to be completed by allcompetitors in this section. Prior to 9.00am this will be with the secretary then will be passed to the dressage writer.

Outdoor Arena

Note - Classes will be judged under BD rules. Please check bit eligibility. Ponies withillegal bits will be judged and sheets completed but no place/qualifying ticket given. Please refer to the BD website for further information.

Ponies can only enter a maximum of two dressage tests, providingthey are eligible class. Ponies may enter classes 21 and 22regardless if they wish to qualify for the NPS Dressage Championships or not. Classes will bejudged under BD rules.

Class 20. BD Intro A Test

For ponies just starting out in dressage.

Class 21. BD Prelim 13 Test (for ponies not to have gained above 70% in anyclass at prelim level. Ponies competing at Novice level or above are ineligible to enter this class)

This is a qualifier for the NPS/Fodder Solutions Dressage championships.

The following sections of qualification are available in these classes

small M & M not exceeding 138cm

d)large M & M exceeding 138cm

e)Mini rider 12 yrs and under on 1.1.15.

f)Junior rider 18 yrs and under on 1.1.15.

Qualifiers will be awarded to the two highest placed ponies in each section.

Class 22. BD Novice 34 Test

This is a qualifier for the NPS/ Fodder Solutions Dressage championships.

The following sections of qualification are available in these classes

c)small M & M not exceeding 138cm

d)large M & M exceeding 138cm

e)Mini rider 12 yrs and under on 1.1.15.

f)Junior rider 18 yrs and under on 1.1.15. Please enter correct section letter on your entry form.

Qualifiers will be awarded to the two highest placed ponies in each section.

Class 23. BD Elementary 42 Test

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Only Highland Ponies or their progeny on the HPS Full Register or the A, B, or C Appendices can be entered for any competition (unless where stated).Height of poniesmust not exceed 14.2hh. (148cms). (unless where stated)
  1. No animal suffering from an infectious disease will be allowed to compete, and such animal must be removed if a steward so directs.
  1. Stock must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor or have been loaned to the exhibitor through the HPS loans procedure.
  1. No substitution of entries.
  1. Neither the Show Committee nor landowner will be liable for any damage or loss to person, animals or property which exhibitors or public may sustain at the show.
  1. Protests, along with £25, (which may be forfeited if the protest is dismissed), must be lodged with the Secretary in writing within 1 hour of the judging of that particular class. Verbal protests will not be considered.
  1. Competitors entering more than one class accept the risk that timings may conflict. Classes will not be delayed for competitors in other rings.
  1. The Show Committee have the right to combine or split classes if numbers so dictate.
  1. The decision of the Show Committee shall be final on all matters regarding the show.
  1. The decision of any judge shall be final regarding the judging of their class.
  1. No Highland Pony bred by, ever owned by, or with any financial connections (within the

2years previous to the show closing date) to the Judge may enter.

  1. Behaviour by any Exhibitor deemed unsporting or unreasonable by the Committee may cause all rosettes/prizes/trophies to be forfeited.
  1. The Show Committee reserve the right to refuse entries without an explanation.
  1. All Colts and Stallions over 2 years old must be shown bitted. All over 4 years old must have an HPS Stallion Licence.
  1. All mounted competitors must wear correctly secured British Standard Riding Hats at all times whilst mounted.
  1. All foals must be at least 3 weeks old by the show date
  1. Any fall of a horse/rider in a class will result in elimination and the rider must not remount.

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor Central Scotland Highland Pony Club or any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
