Central Region Partnership Coordinator Activities

September 5th - November 6th, 2013

Current Activities:

·  Prepared for monthly meeting by developing agenda, tallying director’s votes, completing action items and completing monthly coordinator activities report. Roving Clinical Supervisors – Held first monthly meeting with supervisors to share information, tips, strategies, etc. Scheduled second monthly meeting. Merced/Inyo supervisor will begin in Inyo when contract is fully executed. Working with Inyo County Counsel on language for an agreement.

·  Attended workforce meetings at CiMH, including meetings for OSHPD and their 5-year plan.

·  Attended Cultural Competence Summit Planning Meetings, including drafting evaluation template for evaluation committee, and assisting with slot coordination.

·  Attended and facilitated registration for Cultural Competence Summit dates on October 2nd and 3rd, 2013 in Modesto, CA.

·  Facilitated Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor Support Group Meetings.

·  Facilitated Training Sub-Committee Meetings to discuss and plan current topics, including: Online MSW Program at CSU, Fresno and/or CSU, Stanislaus; DSM-V training; possible interpreter training; and, Trauma-informed care training. Developed matrices to compare and contract various trainings so committee can make recommendations to the regional directors.

·  Facilitated Online CASRA Committee meeting and graduation for Madera Campus.

·  Facilitated Online CASRA Committee meeting and prepared to schedule orientation/marketing meetings for Modesto Jr. College.

·  Facilitated Roving Clinical Supervisor Support Group Meetings. Still working with Inyo County Counsel to have roving supervision there.

·  Continuing to collect impact data re: MHFA via a monthly SurveyMonkey® survey.

·  Coordinating with CalMHSA/UACF on the planning of a CalMHSA contract-funded MHFA Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training in the Central Region.

·  Sent 2nd and final disbursement of stipends for MHFA Challenge Grant.

·  Coordinated the ordering and shipping of MHFA adult manuals for 44 instructors in the Central Region.

·  Working with staff at CiMH to coordinate logistical and administrative functions of the Central Region Partnership, including the development of the weekly and monthly announcements, processing consultant invoices, developing and printing flyers, matrices, etc..

Coordinating Trainings:

·  UC Davis Leadership Training Series – Coordinating one training per month for Calendar Year 2013, including venue, supplies, materials, catering, invoicing, and travel reimbursements. Collecting attendance and evaluation information. Planning for graduation in December.

·  MHFA for Youth Coordination – Planning two more trainings in the region for a 2.5 day Youth Curriculum training for existing instructors (sponsored by the Central Region) and a 5-day Youth Curriculum training for new instructors (sponsored by CalMHSA), likely to be scheduled in January 2014.

Follow-Up and Other Activities:

·  Financial Incentives with CalMHSA–Will refer interested counties to Adrienne Shilton and CalMHSA.

·  Student MH Initiative and College Convenings – need to plan meetings with our higher ed partners.

·  Psychiatric Residency Efforts in the Central Region – Will explore further with interested counties.
