Upon Arrival: Students should arrive on January6th. Occasionally a student might arrive earlier than the due date and we try our best to accommodate him/her. Students are transferred to homestays on the day they arriveand commence their induction week on the following day.

On-site Orientation: The first week of the program is devoted to induction and students are assigned to their internships on the following week. We will be allocating students to home-stays in December. We generally inform students on their arrival but can email the information in advance. Of course, there can be some last minute changes in accommodation arrangement for example if unforeseeable circumstances arise in a homestay, but this is unusual.

Placements:

Students are assigned to both houses. The political parties nominate the elected members to whom to assign interns. During the first week of the program, students learn about the political parties and their policies. When this is complete, program staffwill talk with each student about his/her interests. All students will then go to parliament to meet the Sergeant at Arms and to get their accredited parliamentary pass card. After the passes are obtained, program staff will introduce the students to their hosts, which may place over a number of days depending on the availability of the members.
