SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: ENLISTED (MSG/E-8) are eligible to apply. IAW NGR 600-25 AND AFI 36-101, grade inversion within the full-time workforce is not permitted. Military grade of the supervisor must equal/exceed grade of personnel supervised.

REMARKS: PCS Available. Upon selection, individual must be or become MOS/AOC qualified within twelve (12) months of appointment, with the exception of deployed Soldiers who will have an additional 12 months.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Simulation management, operations training, and state level ammunition management. Assists the State Training Officer (STO) in the development and review of training directives, regulation updates, and readiness reporting. Develops and prepares operational orders for use in training and readiness events. Conducts staff readiness inspections through the Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) of subordinate training operations, security, safety and readiness planning. Conducts and/or coordinates assistance visits in all areas of training management. Performs research and provides recommendations utilized by the J3 in issuance of yearly Training and Leader Development Guidance. Coordinates logistical and administrative support of internal/external evaluation and assistance teams. Coordinates and maintains usage agreements for local/private training areas. Reviews subordinate training readiness feeder reports to ensure current and correct information is reported. Manages and oversees the administration of the J3 Training Simulations, and Biathlon programs. Reviews, approves and forwards forecasts of individual training requirements of the organization and its subordinate elements. Ensure the proper forecasting, allocation, and usage of operational and training ammunition with the MNARNG. Ensures long range force modernization plans, FTS education requirement changes, and skill transition training are incorporated into forecasts. Coordinates with NGB in support of the NG Biathlon program; develops policy and determines usage of the simulation devices and facilities within the MNARNG; provides recommendations to the STO on future development or reallocation of simulation devices. Coordinates with the J1 HRO and RTI to resource and support required courses. Performs duties as an Organizational Defense Travel Administrator with the J3, supporting multiple Program Manager (PM) accounts. Supports JFHQ-MN during local, state, and federal emergencies during the implementation of preliminary activities necessary to respond to natural disasters, civil disturbances, and terrorist activities and to provide humanitarian assistance.
