The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers. At the end of the year, the student critics vote for awards that are presented at a formal Cappies Gala, a Tony’s-style award ceremony planned this year for May 26 at the Aronoff Center. The students were nominated from 25 Cappie participating schools in the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area.
"I am very proud of the entire cast and crew, and I'm happy the Cappies Critics recognized our talented students in this way," said Joe Bertucci, drama instructor.
