CCEC BIOS ON BOARD MEMBERS
1. Al Austin – Al attended CCEC Walk #52. He is a member of Good Shepherd UMC. He has served Emmaus as a Sponsor, Table Leader, Assistant Table Leader, Luggage Detail, Kitchen Servant, Chapel Servant, Agape Maker, and Refreshment Servant. He is currently completing the last year of a former Board Member and is serving as Treasurer. His local church service includes, Past Finance Chair, Past Staff Parish Chair, Good Shepherd Singers and on Mission Teams. Regionally, Al serves as Treasurer of Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry. His wife’s name is Beth and they have two children, Bert and Pat. His hobbies are golf and yard work. His favorite Emmaus song is Shout to the Lord.
2. Leamon B. Brice – Leamon attended Sandhills Emmaus Walk #24 in Southern Pines, NC. He is a member of Davidson UMC. His past Emmaus service includes: Sponsorship, Assistant Table Leader, Table Leader, Assistant Lay Director, Attending Gatherings and Candlelight. His has served his local church as Chairman of the Trustees for 8 years and a member of the board for 12. He has served on the Building Committee and is currently serving on the Long Range Planning Committee. He has taught Sunday School and Disciple and has served as an Usher. He also coordinated the creation of the reunion group at his church. Leamon wife’s name is Renee and they have a son who works at Duke Medical Center and a daughter who is in Pharmacy school at UNC-CH. His hobbies are sailing, softball and running. His favorite Emmaus Song is Here I Am Lord.
3. Eric Bromby – Eric attended CCEC Walk #50. He is a member of Good Shepherd UMC. His past Emmaus service includes Prayer Partner, 72 Hour Prayer Vigil, Kitchen Servant, Luggage Detail, Agape, Table Leader, Assistant Table Leader, Assistant Lay Director, Lay Director In Training, and is serving as Lay Director for Walk #97. His local church service includes serving on the Council, Trustee Chair, Small Group Leader, Youth Leader, Technology Support and the Building Team. His wife’s name is Karen Lynch-Bromby and they have two children, Taylor and Hunter. His hobbies include Travel, Home Building Projects, Mission Trips and Having Fun. His favorite Emmaus song is Shine Jesus Shine.
4. Jonnie Hildreth – Jonnie attended CCEC Walk #80. She is a member of Faith UMC. Her past Emmaus service includes Table Leader, Assistant Table Leader, Chapel Servant, Kitchen Servant, and Break Table Servant. Her local church service includes Member of the Administration Council, Council on Ministries, Small Group Chairperson, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Facilitator of Small Groups. Jonnie is single and her hobbies include Travel, Reading, and Spending Time with Family and Friends. Her Favorite Emmaus song is Make Me A Servant.
5. Bruce Jones – Bruce attended CCEC Walk #89. He is the Senior Pastor at River Hills Community Church. His past Emmaus service includes Spiritual Director, Fourth Day (2004 and 2005), and Assistant Spiritual Director. As Senior Pastor for the past seven years at RHCC, Bruce manages to keep busy. His hobbies include hiking, boating, stock car racing, and football. His favorite Emmaus song is Weave.
6. Jayne Jones – Jayne attended CCEC Walk #41.. She is a member of River Hills Community Church. Her past Emmaus service includes Table Leader, Assistant Table Leader, Assistant Lay Director, Lay director in Training, Lay Director of Walk #84, Day Retreat Director, Assistant Table Leader for Grace Emmaus, Kitchen Servant, Set Up, and she has worked in the kitchen on 4 Kairos Weekends. Her local church service includes Adult Sunday School Teacher, Member of the Share Group for 10 years, assisted with the start up of the Contemporary Service, Stewardship Talks, Member of the Church Council for 5 years and is the Chair of the Church Council for 2005. Her husband’s name is Kent and they have 5 grown children. Her favorite hobby is eating out and her favorite Emmaus songs are The Spirit Song and Here I Am Lord.
7. Mike Jones – Mike attended CCEC Walk #66. He is a member of Hickory Grove UMC. His past Emmaus service includes Table Leader and Assistant Table Leader(twice). His local church service includes being a Youth Counselor and a Senior High Sunday School Teacher. His wife’s name is Michelle and they have 2 children. His hobbies are Kairos and trying to learn to play the guitar. His favorite Emmaus song is Sanctuary.
