CBT Skills Webinar for Depression and Anxiety

The CBT Skills webinar is now on IAPTus due to start on Wednesday 10th May6pm-7.15pm.

The webinaris appropriate for clients who are scoring mild, moderate or severe on the MDS. However, contact with clients will be minimal therefore please only consider clients who have no or low risk.Patients with risk concerns/issues will be refused from the webinar and referred back to the assessor.

Please use the CBT skills webinar as the first line of treatment in line with the below.

Inclusion criteria:

-Presenting with low mood and/or anxiety

-Mild, moderate or severe scores on the PHQ9 and GAD7

-No or low risk

-Has an electronic device (PC, laptop, iPad, smart phone) with access to the internet

-Can commit to a 5 week course

Exclusion Criteria:

-Medium or high risk issues

-Literacy difficulties

-Individuals whose main problem is not depression or anxiety e.g. trauma

-Current excessive alcohol and drug use

The webinar is delivered through the internet meaning that patients can access the sessions from their own home. During the sessions they will be able to see, hear and participate in the live webinar.

Each session will run for one hour and 15mins, the course lasts 5 weeks and is delivered by two presenters through the internet via webcam.

The webinar has been developed from Step 2 Guided Self Help material and covers the main treatments for low mood and anxiety using CBT. The webinar is structured as follows:

Week Four / 31.05.2017 / Breaking Down Barriers

How to refer:

  1. Check the patient’s email address
  2. Please add them to the group ‘WEBINAR – CBT Skills Course’ using the groups tab.
  3. Please update the care pathway to ‘Enter Step 2’, ‘Waiting List Online Webinar’
  4. Send Webinar Invite letter from IAPTus, amending the details to match the webinar start dates and times
  5. Change therapist to ‘no therapist’
