1. INSPECT AND INVENTORY CBR-D PERSONNEL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

1. Do each of the CBR-D IPE sets contain the following:

• One JSLIST Coat
• One JSLIST Trouser
• One pair of ALO Boots
• One CP-Glove Set
• One Pair of RAD Inserts
• One Webb Belt
• Two new C2-A1 Canisters
• One M-291 Decon Kit
• One MCU Series Mask (Stowed separate from bag).
• One (1Qt) Canteen w/ cover and cap
• MCU Series Audio Projection Sets (10 sets recommended IAW ref g)

1. Check the shelf life for the following items within each CBR-D IPE Kit:

• JSLIST Coat
• JSLIST Trousers
• Two C2-A1 Canisters
• M291 DECON Kit
• ALO Boot

1. Check the serviceability for the following items within each CBR-D IPE Kit:

• CP-Glove Set
• Spare RAD Glove inserts
• Canteen sets
• Webb Belt
• MCU Series Mask
• MCU Series Audio Projection Sets

1. Does the DCRS contain a copy of the most recent CBR-D AEL’s to conduct inventories?

• Obtain current shortage listing and compare with inventories.
• Does shortfall list have current reqn NRs assigned?

1. Is the DCRS equipped IAW the ship’s CBR-D AEL? DCRS will be a representative sampling.

• CBR Personnel Kit

1. Does DCA’s shortfall list match actual inventory shortfalls?

1. Is the CBR-D OSIMS inventory software installed and being used? (Only applicable to RIP ships)

• Serial NR
• Version NR

1. Are the DC kits or bags stenciled with 2” letters for ease of identification? (RIP ships only)

1. Are the CBR-D kits mounted and hung IAW with the Stowage Aid Book?

1. Are the 25 CBR-D IPE Kits and masks located within the DCRS area of responsibility? Are the kits assigned to the actual DCRS personnel? (For ships with CBR-D OSIMS Module, scan bar code located on each kit bag.)

1. Are the DCRS inventories being conducted IAW current PMS?

• Verify against SKED or division’s 13-week files.

1. Inspect and test MCU Mask:

• No rips, tears or cracks in the facepiece, faceseal, tabs, buckles and harness
• No dents, punctures or cracks in voice emitter
• Black outlet valve disc is installed.
• No curls, nicks, rips, dirt or moisture in outlet valve disc
• No cracks or cuts in nosecup
• No cracks or cuts in external and internal drinking tubes
• No curls or tears in inlet valve disc.
• No scratches, stains, punctures in lens

1. Inspect C2/C2A1 canister:

• Check for expired shelf life
• Inspect for damaged packing containers
• Replace and properly dispose of unusable canisters

1. Inspect JSLIST:

• Check for expired shelf life
• No holes, tears or other damage to the foil packaging [see Ref (k) for repairing holes]
• Inner nylon foil package has the following surveillance information:
• Contract Number
• NSN
• Manufacture Date
• Surveillance Marking Number
• Garment Size

1. Inspect Chemical Protective Footwear Covers and Gloves/Glove Sets:

• No moisture or dampness within packaging
• No sticking to inside of package
• No cracking or dry rot on opened footwear covers and gloves
• Replace and properly dispose of damaged footwear and gloves

1. Test and inspect MCU Series Audio Projection Set, AN/PNT-2A

• No cracks, gouges or other damage on exposed surfaces

• Change battery
• No charring, flaking, shredded or missing material on battery cover gasket
• Test audible output of APS
• Test and inspect annually and after each use

1. Inspect Fleet CBR-D Individual Protection Equipment Stowage Bag (RIP ships only)

• Accomplish every 36 months, upon initial receipt or when bag seal has been broken
• Verify complete contents
• No cuts, tears, holes or other damage to bag
