CBD - WEBELOS CAMPOREE May 3 – 5, 2013

Announcing the first Annual Chief Black Dog WEBELOS Camporee!!!! Our theme: First in Fun, First Webelos Olympiad.

Young men are you a BEAR or a First year WEBELOS Scout? If the answer is YES! Then we have a deal for you:

·  We have a weekend of camping with the Boy Scouts

·  There will be BB Gun, Archery, and Sling Shot - Boy Scout Activities throughout the day (the spider web crawl, nerf guns, the snake trail, obstacle courses [these are not for the faint of heart], plus more!)

·  Plus, you are going to pick up some Boy Scout Skills along the way!

·  Campfire program (Yes Goldfish from Camp AKELA and Polar Cubs will be in charge).

·  Patrol Cooking and Camping – Lead by real Boy Scouts!

·  Are you adult, don’t worry we have fun activities for you too!

Details:

·  Location – Camp Phillippo at Gwinn Center and surrounding Campsites

·  Date – Friday May 3rd through Sunday May 5th, 2013

·  Cost - $12 ($15 after April 28th)

·  Participants – Bears (this year’s 3rd Graders) first year WEBELOS (this year’s 4th Graders) and at least one of their parents or guardians

·  Boy Scout Leaders – Your pack has a troop or troops that it works with, they will provide you with a patrol leader and assistant patrol leader for each patrol (den). Plus, a Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, at least one Assistant Scoutmaster, and a real live Scoutmaster. Your Boy Scout leaders and their troop will help you with menu planning, camp chores, patrol leadership, and camping gear.

·  You bring sleeping bags, closed cell camp pads to sleep on, warm clothes in case it’s cold, your clothes, rain gear, a great attitude, and a pillow if you want

Note: Health forms and the NSC Health Waiver are required for each person in camp. Please bring these and turn them at check-in on Friday night. Do not mail your health forms to the council office. A complete roster of everyone in camp will also need to be turned in at check-in.
