CAZENOVIA JOINT YOUTH RECREATION
SUMMMER 2013
The Cazenovia Joint Youth Recreation consists of the Village of Cazenovia and the towns of Cazenovia, Fenner, and Nelson. All families who reside in these towns and the Cazenovia Central School District are welcome. The program can accommodate children with typical abilities and needs. Special needs children will be included to the fullest we can staff. All children must have completed kindergarten. The program continues due to the strong support of these municipalities and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
The 2013 summer season is almost here and the Cazenovia Joint Youth Recreation Summer Program is about to begin. We are very pleased to announce that we will be taking our space in the Carpenter’s Barn this year. All general activities will be held in Lakeland Park unless otherwise stated. The Parking Lot at Lakeland Park has always been difficult for pick up and dropoff. For the safety of all children please do not use the “Pier Loop” for drive through drop off.
PLEASE PARK YOUR CAR AND WALK YOUR CHILD TO THE CHECK IN TABLE LOCATED NEAR THE BATH HOUSES.
Camp will begin on Monday June 24thand conclude on August 2nd. Playground activities begin at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. Swim lessons begin on Wednesday June 26th and conclude onWednesday August 1st. Lakeland Park will be the site of swim lessons. Swim class registration will continue until July 6th. Registration is on a first come/ first serve basis for the Monday/ Wednesday session and the Tuesday/Thursday session.
All program activities will be closed Wednesday, July 4th
in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
Friday Field Tripsare subject to change. Permissions slips will be handed out on Mondays and Tuesdays. Fees and permission slips should be collected by Thursday in order to have accurate informationto our location and to ensure spaces on busses. A permission slip is required for each child that is attending. Some of these trips will be open to parent or siblings who may be interested in chaperoning. Field trips are generally between 9:00am and 1:00pm.
Registration will be held at Lakeland Park Thursday June 6thfrom 3:00-5:30 and Saturday June 8th from 10:00-1:00. The fee for summer 2012 is $70. Registration must be in person for legal reasons and to ensure appropriate swim class enrollment. Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign forms for legal reasons. Registrations will be accepted throughout the summer. The safety of our children is paramount. We ask for your cooperation to ensure a safe summer. Other activities will be posted and a Calendar will be provided the first week of camp. We will be accepting donations of gently used sports, recreation, building sets, and other games and toys. Please look at our wish list at the sign up table for more specific ideas.
