Cat Country 107.3 WPUR-FM to Host 12th Annual Country Cares Radiothon

Northfield, NJ – Cat Country 107.3 WPUR-FM will host its 12th Annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon on February 24-25from 6am -9pm at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

Cat Country 107.3 will broadcast live from the mall during the two day event. The event will feature non-stop music, activities and entertainment, touching appeals by St. Jude patients, parents and staff and celebrity endorsements from music entertainers.

Monies raised by the two-day, 32-hour radiothon will go to support St. Jude’s lifesaving work. St. Jude relies primarily on the public’s generosity to support its lifesaving mission to find cures and save children with cancer and other deadly diseases. It costs $1.6 million to operate the hospital every day and more than 70 percent of that funding comes from the public through programs like Country Cares for St. Jude Kids. St. Jude is the only children’s cancer research hospital where no child is ever denied treatment because of a family’s inability to pay. St. Jude covers the cost of food, travel and lodging for patients and a family member.

“The support of Cat Country 107.3 and its listeners is essential to helping us continue our work of finding cures and saving children,” said Beth Desai, associate director at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “The Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon is so important in helping raise awareness and critical fundraising dollars that ultimately enable us to provide the top care and treatment to our patients.”

Cat Country staff and volunteers will collect funds through pledges called into the phone bank, donations from mall shoppers, a silent auction with autographed items and donations to win with the Cat Country Prize Wheel.

Anyone interested in volunteering can email Kristen Lucca, Promotions Coordinator at or call Kristen at 609-645-9797.

The 12th Annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon is sponsored by Sport Hyundai Dodge in EHT, Jersey Shore Pharmacy in EHT, Liberty Tax in EHT and The Optical Room in Absecon.
