5K Mudder and Kid’s Mini Mudder

Course Info: The 5K Mudder (for adults and students age 16 to 21) leaves from the Philipstown Community Center on Route 9D in Garrison, NY. The 5K Mudder is a shoe-sucking adventure trail run and obstacle course featuring scenic views of the Hudson River as well as natural and man-made obstacles. Be prepared to get VERY muddy as you race up slippery slopes, leap over logs and rock walls on the historic Benedict Arnold trail, scale an 8 ft. high wall, negotiate the “tires of torture”, crawl through a mud pit, swish through the saw dust pile and slide to the finish line on a giant slip & slide. The race ends at the Community Center with a hosing down! Kid’s Mini Mudder is for children ages 5 through 15 and is approximately one-mile, with kid-sized obstacles (4 ft. high wall, etc.) and finishes with the soapy slip & slide – all on the grounds of the Community Center. Young children may need a parent or guardian to run the course/race with them and children of all ages must have a parent or guardian on the premises of the RecCenter at all times. The courses will be well marked with flags and live volunteers. Make sure you bring a change of clothes. This event will be difficult, dirty and somewhat dangerous! A waiver of liability must be signed by all participants (and guardians) on the day of the race in order to participate; please bring appropriate identification.

Spectators bring seating for the show! BBQ, Refreshment Stand and DJ all day!

PRIZES

  • overall male and female winners of the 5K Mudder
  • best costume
  • most “acrobatic finish on the slip and slide”
  • overall boy and girl winners of the Kid’s Mini Mudder, ages 5-10 and 11-15

ENTRY FEE

5K Mudder: adult - $50 in advance ($60 on race day); student (age 16-21) - $35 in advance ($45 on race day);

Kid’s Mini Mudder: for ages 5-15, $15 in advance ($20 on race day)
