THROUGH THE LENS OF INSPECTION:

TOGETHER MOVING MORE SCHOOLS TO ‘GOOD’ AND ‘OUTSTANDING’

Whole day seminars led by HMI in partnership with CumbriaAlliance of System Leaders & the Local Alliances

PURPOSE:

  • To develop a deep understanding of the inspection framework
  • To consider what we know about ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ schools
  • To consider how partnership with other schools and system leaders can sustain school improvement
  • To create an opportunity for schools to reflect on and review their improvement planning and school practice (with an opportunity for schools to follow this through in on-going support and challenge with system leaders and/or general advisers).

AUDIENCE:

All primary and secondary schools in each Local Alliance: headteachers, senior staff and governors. Schools may apply for up to four places.

REQUIREMENTS:

Schools should bring their RAISEonline, school self-evaluation record and improvement plans.

COST:£25 per head (Lunch and refreshments provided)

Please note that the cost of the course is to cover the cost of the venue. No proceeds go to Ofsted.

  • To develop a deep understanding of the inspection framework in relation to governance
  • To consider what we know about ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ governance
  • To consider strategies to develop governance in your own school.

AUDIENCE:

The chair and experienced governors, including head teachers, of all primary and secondary schools in each Local Alliance.

COST:£10 per head (Refreshments provided)
