SB 5301 Justin Cuff, M.D., John Higgins, M.D. Stanford (08-32883)

64 yr old female with abdominal asymmetry and a 2 x 2 cm mass at the root of the mesentery. The mesenteric mass was resected along with 150 cm of small bowel.

DIAGNOSIS:

SB 5302 Jason Karamchandani, M.D., Hannes Vogel, M.D. Stanford (SHS-09-10637)

59 yr old woman with a history of breast cancer, s/p lumpectomy/chemo/RT. She recently was diagnosed with a right frontal mass after presenting with left-sided weakness. At surgery,

a 3.7 cm rubbery tan nodular tissue was removed.

31 yr old G2P1 female at 8 weeks gestational age undergoes D+C. Hydropic villi and fetal parts are noted.

DIAGNOSIS:

SB 5304 Helen Bailey, M.D., Grace Kim, M.D. UCSF (S08-13707)

38 yr old woman at 32 3/7 weeks undergoes C-section. Multiple fetal anomalies were present and fetal demise occurred post-delivery. 631 g placenta shows multiple cystic lesions and focal dilated blood vessels.

42 yr old woman with a 6.8 cm splenic mass found incidentally during clinical work-up for hematuria.

53 yr old woman with anemia and a slowly growing splenic mass.

DIAGNOSIS:

SB 5307 Bob Freedman, M.D. Comm Hosp of Los Gatos (G03-1492)

16 yr old female with a suprapubic mass.

SB 5308 Andrew Horvai, M.D. UCSF (ZS08-10219)

42 yr old male with a left thigh mass, slowly increasing in size over 12 months. Plain films show mineralization suggesting myositis ossificans.

DIAGNOSIS:

Scalp lesion (1 cm). Clinical impression—“nevus vs neurofibroma”.

61 yr old female with a left ankle soft tissue mass (2.5 cm).
