Job Title:Mobile/Relief Butchery Manager

Responsible to:Area Manager

Hours of Work:40 hours per week Mon to Sun to ensure maximum impact and coverage of stores. Extra hours may be required to meet job demands

Purpose of Job:To take full responsibility for the counter positioned in within N.Ireland. Achieve & maximise sales targets, turnover and profit for the counteragainst storetargets through the effective use of all available resources. To layout counter, develop skills within the team and maximise performance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Sales Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed company sales on counters whilst covering
  • Working with team to develop their sales potential
  • To ensure that all the Primacy Meats Operational processesare adhered to.
  • Conduct review meetings on a monthly basis with Area Manager

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • To maximise the company’s retail proposition in the area, whichis measured by the mystery shopping programme.
  • Develop and maintain a positive culture to customer service.
  • Respond directly and positively to customer feedback
  • Review customer complaints and liaise with all relevant stakeholders - Tesco’s

Communication Responsibilities

  • Report to Director onall sales issues, competitor analysis, market developments and regional influences etc at weekly meeting.
  • Communicate observations on strategic opportunities for company development.
  • Set standards, objectives and targets for each branch within the region
  • Organise a schedule of structured branch visits and produce written reports assessing performance against objectives and standards set.
  • Attend food sampling and trade events to assess success of events.
  • Report to HR on all training and disciplinary issues in a timely manner
  • Attend interviews and disciplinaries as and when requested.
  • Liaise with marketing on ideas for future flyers and events based on feedback from areas.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Maximise the morale and motivation of all employees within region.
  • Develop a culture of continuous personal development and openness to new technology and ideas.
  • Attend to/organise training and managing the attendance of personnel on Primacy Meats training courses.
  • Coaching all branch personnel, demonstrating personal commitment to coaching in day-to-day behaviour.
  • Performance management of all personnel.
  • To help in recruitment of full and part-time counter assistants.
  • Coaching and development of branch managers and supervisorsto aid future succession planning
  • Liaise with HR on all disciplinary procedures within the area.
  • Follow up on action of the Appraisal Programme.
  • Ensure wage costs and rotas set by Head Office are maintained.
  • Train & develop butchery and counter skills within individuals in each area

Financial and Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensure there is control of administration within all branches according to Primacy Meats Policies
  • Monitor all necessary controls within branches in order to minimise shrinkage and ensure sales growth.
  • Ensure that company procedures are adhered to, and continuously look to suggest improvements.
  • Monitor and report on any security issues
  • Ensure that all point of sale is current and displayed as instructed.
