Word of the Month - Appreciation
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have enjoyed a busy half term although it has been very short and flown by! Our Y6 children are getting ready for their SATs assessments as they are just around the corner in May. The dates of each assessment can be seen below. The Y2 children have been taking their assessments too and the fun term with Sports day and picnics will soon be upon us. There will be a new version of Summer Term dates coming home once the dates are finalised.
We have a training day on Friday 27th March and return to school on Monday 13th April.
SATS DATES: This year the dates are;
Monday 11th May – Reading Test
Tuesday 12th May – Spelling Grammar and Punctuation
Wednesday 13th May – Maths Paper 1
Thursday 14th May – Maths Paper 2 and Level 6 Maths
Y4 travel to the Thackery Museum in Leeds on Tuesday 24th March. They will return at 4.30 pm and we will organize children who need to attend After School Club.
Children will need a packed lunch.

Red Nose Day – Fun and bonkers, Thank you
For your generosity and spirit. We raised over £900 for the charity and the children and staff enjoyed the day.
We are adopting 3 hens from Heeley City Farm. They will live in a fox proof coop in our Wildlife garden. We hope to use the eggs in our cookery club.
We are desperate for any parent to run our cookery club with help from our staff! Please contact the school office if you can help.
Although it is yummy, ice cream stains our floors and playground. Please could you eat them outside of the school.
