Volunteer Role description

At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust we have a simple vision – Safe and Compassionate Care Every Time. We currently have around 400 volunteers in the Trust who work across all Trust sites in non-clinical ways. Volunteers help enhance the patient experience and complement the work of paid members of staff.

Carers Bucks is an independent charity supporting unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire. We provide up to date advice and information, emotional support, learning and development and carer support groups. We work with a range of organisations and agencies to provide the best possible service to carers. We are a business partner of Buckinghamshire County Council.

Carers Bucks offer immediate face to face support, advice and information for carers who are visiting the hospital or who are admitted themselves. A carer can be a relative or friend who looks after someone on a regular basis without payment. We include past carers, carers with a relative or friend living in a care home, parent carers, young carers and working carers.

All volunteers will be required to have a Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check.
