Christie Gillespie have an exciting role available with a new and dynamic business. This is a progressive roleandwill include thefollowing;
  • Undertake Structural engineering design works for varied types of Buildings projects, includingresidential,industrial andcommercial.
  • Feasibility and technicaldesigns.
  • Work involves significant use of specialist design software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Outputs include drawings, reports, calculations andcorrespondence.
  • Role involves submissions of designs for third party approvals and will require pro-activecommunicationwith clients, authorities and other agencies to ensure projects are completed to deadlines andbudgets.
  • Liaise with clients, other staff members and statutory bodies including Building Control, NHBC, PlanningAuthorities, Environment Agency, Statutory Undertakersetc.
  • Occasional site visits for inspections or investigationwork.
  • Provide general assistance to ProjectEngineers.
  • Attendance at meetings with team, clients and statutorybodies.

SkillsRequired/Requirements:
  • Minimum HNC in CivilEngineering.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience of the design of structuralelements.
  • Preferably Technician member of The Institution of Civil Engineers or working towardsmembership.
  • Knowledge of structural design standards and goodpractice.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team involving various disciplines and typesofproject.
  • Self-motivated individual with desire to develop structural engineeringteam.

Full/Part-time:Full timerole
Hours:37.5 hours perweek.
