Readers were prompted to tell us how important professional development was to them. If a job seeker wants to continue moving forward in their career, they must develop a variety of skills. The more skills a job seeker acquires the better prepared they are for future endeavors. A job seekers professional development is a big part of their success.

CAREEREALISM compiled the answers from its readers and discovered the following:

●  91% said professional development was very important

●  8% said professional development was somewhat important

●  1% said professional development was not important

As one can see from the results shown above, sophisticated job seekers believe that professional development is very important. However, according to another CAREEREALISM poll, approximately 64% of companies don't offer career development training.
